Meet Dr Dumindu Alwis

​

Dr Dumindu Alwis was born and graduated in Sri Lanka. He joined Dubbo Medical and Allied Health Group as a permanent doctor to pursue his career as a general practitioner.
He started his career in Australia as an Emergency Medicine registrar at Campbelltown Hospital. He also gained experience in Paediatrics and during this period, he managed to successfully complete the Emergency Medicine Certificate conducted by Australasian College for Emergency Medicine. He has gathered experience in public health, preliminary care, and emergency medicine while working in Sri Lanka.
As a general practitioner he is particularly interested in chronic disease management, men’s health, child and adolescent care, preventive health, acute care, and mental health. He is currently open for new patients.
Dr Alwis moved to Dubbo with his family and he enjoys spending time with his loved ones, travelling, watching cricket, and enjoying the great outdoors.
